Structures
Architectural shelters, built for your land.
Bespoke outdoor shelters, pavilions and garden rooms in scaffold timber, corrugated steel and reclaimed materials. Designed for your setting. Made to last.
What we build
Outdoor shelters
Freestanding structures that define a space — for seating, dining, working or simply being outside. Built to suit the scale and character of your land.
Pavilions
Larger covered structures for entertaining, events or year-round use. Designed with an architectural eye and built to last.
Garden rooms
Enclosed or semi-enclosed spaces that extend your home into the garden. Timber, steel and reclaimed materials, finished to a high standard.
Covered seating and dining areas
Pergolas, canopies and covered terraces that bring structure and shelter to outdoor living spaces.
Materials and craft
We work with scaffold timber, corrugated steel, reclaimed wood and natural materials that age well and suit the East Sussex landscape. Every structure is designed for your specific setting — the light, the view, the scale of the land — and built by hand to a standard we are proud to put our name to.

The bay system
Built on a 3.6m module
Every Forge & Field shelter is based on a standard 3.6m bay module — strong, simple and scalable. Choose one, two or three bays, with your choice of wall configuration.
